Research And Development Unit

Rosaab International is a learning organization with the unique character of creating uncontestable market space in order to define its shpere of operations. The Group, in an attempt to institutionalize this unique character of hers, established the R&D unit to run with a vision of growing the unit into a full fledge autonomous business unit within the Rosaab family with core responsibility to create ground breaking opportunities for the furtherance of the entire Rosaab group.

The unit’s main driving force has been a strong passion for excellence and the desire to create new ideas for the furtherance of the group brand. This explains why the unit is at the nerve center of the group’s future aspiration.

The R&D unit operates a fluid human resource structure, employing the services of top intellectuals in two seperate teams – the Strategy team and the Project implementation team. The strategy team is basically involved in research planning and administration while the project implementation team is involved in the main research project work.

The strength of the above structure shows in the unit’s ability to assemble a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to work on any research project. The structure also allows the unit to collaborate with colleges, universities and research institutions, the extent of such technical collaboration with relevant institutions, and individual technocrats being completely limitless.

A typical research project would usually go through series of stages ranging from the research question, research selection, marketing research, research planning, design and development, analysis and reporting and then documentation. Each of these steps is uniquely designed to see that the project is completely alligned to the group’s strategic goal. As a typical research environment, the unit undertakes New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, marketing research, process improvement and standardization, process automation and new business review for the group and individual businesses within the group. R&D unit has also structured its program into short term, medium term and long term focus.

R&D NPD focus is largely in the area of industrial designs, with much focus on products that are able to project our clients’ brand while also being socially viable to the public. Typically, as would be expected, there are no limits to NPD focus of the unit, that explains the reason why the unit is always ready to work with any idea  and people with such ideas from all works of life ranging from software developers, architects, industrial design experts and engineers.
