Dapo Odojukan Bags Kwame Nkrumah Award
Dapo Odojukan, the Managing Director/Group
Chief Executive Officer of Rosaab International bagged
the Kwame Nkrumah Excellence in Enterprise Award in
Captains of Industry category 2007.
Other Nigerian recipients of this award, in the past, include, Governors Bola Tinubu of Lagos State, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi of Nasarawa State and Orji Uzo Kalu of Abia State. Reknowned civil rights lawyers and human activists, Gani Fawehinmi and Femi Falana have equally profited.
The West Africa International, the organizers of the award, in its citation, described Dapo Odojukan as a disciplined, prudent, courageous and hardworking personality, adding that, these qualities, which have seen him through successful undertakings over the years, were part of the criteria upon which his nomination was measured since the late Kwame Nkrumah exhibited these outstanding qualities. It also praised his contributions and achievements as a transparent, focused and honest celebrity in business and economy, which earned him the Entrepreneur of the Year recognition.
Dapo Odojukan is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy. He has for a long time been involved in the growth and development of Rosaab International but it was not until 1991 that he was appointed to manage the Marketing department and later the General Manager. He became the Managing Director of the company in 1998 and Group CEO in 2003. Presently, he is a member of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria, an alumnus of the Ashridge Management School UK.
